Shierly Lin

Shierly Lin (b. 1985) is an Indonesian artist based in Jombang - Jawa Timur, Indonesia. She graduated from Visual Communication Design Department at Petra Christian University Surabaya.
Shierly has loved drawing since elementary school. Started from drawing and coloring lessons at the age of 8, she then fell in love with the world of drawing. But drawing in realism style with pencils just started when she was in junior high school, and her first drawing model was an Indonesian artist "Sophia Latjuba." In the process of learning and developing her skills, Shierly taught herself by practising and kept trying.
Shierly is now working in a genre of art known as Hyper-Realism. She creates realistic portraits on paper, using graphite, charcoal, and conte. Although drawing realists require lots of time, patience, and perseverance, she has never given up. Instead, she enjoys each process in drawing. The estimated time from 12 to more than 100 hours on one face drawing, is not to be in vain when many people enjoy and appreciate her works.

Precious Moments

In July 2017 and May 2018, Shierly had a chance to directly meet Indian Actors Mrunal Jain, Tinaa Dattaa, Shaheer Sheikh, and Shashank Vyas when they were shooting in Jakarta to hand their portraits drawing ; and on 18 December 2018, she also had a chance to meet Indonesian President, Mr. Joko Widodo, and gave his portrait drawing when he was visiting Shierly's hometown, Jombang City.
